About Dr. Walker: Expert Women’s Health Care Guided by Compassion

Dr. Walker

Dr. David Walker completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma and graduated in the top quartile of his class. After four years in Oklahoma, he and his Texas-born wife felt ready to return home, so he moved back to Texas to begin his OBGYN residency. He spent all four years of residency training at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine and Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX. Since then, he has chosen to stay in Texas and now serves patients at Omega Ob-Gyn.

Before he ever became an Ob-Gyn, Dr. Walker experienced the joy of welcoming two children and the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages with his wife. These moments changed him and continue to guide the way he practices medicine. Because of this, he focuses on treating every patient with the same compassion and respect he wants for his own wife, mother, or daughter. During residency, his peers recognized this commitment and selected him for the Gold Humanism Honor Society, an honor given to physicians known for deeply compassionate, patient-centered care.

Today, Dr. Walker is board-certified through the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In addition, he provides a full scope of women’s healthcare, including routine and high-risk obstetrics, general gynecologic care, contraceptive management, infertility evaluation and treatment, minimally invasive surgery (such as laparoscopic and vaginal procedures), and well-woman care from adolescence through menopause. Moreover, he strives to offer clear communication and evidence-based guidance at every visit.

In 2025, Dr. Walker became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner through the Menopause Society. He is trained and passionate about helping women struggling with hormone-related symptoms before, during, and after menopause. He has seen how life-changing hormone support can be for many women and enjoys helping patients who need Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in Grand Prairie and Arlington.

Outside of work, Dr. Walker spends most of his time with his wife and children. When he isn’t with his family, he enjoys long runs, golfing, and following the latest in football, basketball, and baseball. Through both his personal life and his medical practice, he brings steady, compassionate energy to the people around him.
