About Dr. Walker

Dr. David Walker completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma, graduating in the top quartile of his class. After 4 years in Oklahoma, his Texas wife was ready to get back to the great state of Texas for Dr. Walker’s OBGYN residency. He completed all 4 years of his residency at Texas A&M University Health Center College of Medicine and Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX, and is excited to be staying in Texas at Omega OB-GYN.

Before becoming an OB-GYN, Dr. Walker was forever changed after experiencing the joy of welcoming two beautiful children into the world and the devastation of his wife’s miscarriages. Dr. Walker’s philosophy is to provide compassionate care for all of his patients as he hopes his wife, mother, or daughter would be treated. During his residency, Dr. Walker was selected by his peers for the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which honors those “who are exemplars of compassionate patient care…are the ones that [colleagues] say they want taking care of their own family.” 

Dr. Walker is board-certified through the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  Dr. Walker’s scope of practice covers obstetrics (routine and high-risk) and general gynecologic care, including contraceptive management, infertility evaluation and management, minimally-invasive surgery including laparoscopic and vaginal surgeries, and well-woman care from adolescence through menopause.

When he is not at work, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with his wife and young children. He can also be found outside on a long run or at the golf course. When sports come back, he will be found following the latest in football, basketball, and baseball.
